چکیده

Illite is a group of clay minerals that are expected to be widely used in catalyst fabrication, radioactive element adsorption, and so forth, due its excellent adsorption properties. However, the shape control limitation illite product should overcome maximize utilization We herein propose additive manufacturing (AM) as one best solutions solve this structural drawback. Digital light processing (DLP) technology with film-type material supplying system was adapted instead general vat-type DLP increase printability. The photo-curability printability illite-contained photocurable suspension were optimized. color effect different ferric oxide content yellow- white-illite which influence photopolymerization process also adjusted thoroughly. White showed better could increased solid loading than yellow illite. defect-free products three-dimensional complex structures, cannot produced by typical ceramic processes, obtained for both after sintering at 1100°C. overcoming illites AM proved study has potential expanding utilities various applications.

Improving solid freeform fabrication by laser-based additive manufacturing

Solid freeform fabrication (SFF) methods for metal part building, such as three-dimensional laser cladding, are generally less stable and less repeatable than other rapid prototyping methods. A large number of parameters govern the three-dimensional laser cladding process. These parameters are sensitive to the environmental variations, and they also in ̄uence each other. This paper introduces th...

A virtual dual-level reconfigurable additive manufacturing system for digital object fabrication

This paper proposes a virtual dual-level reconfigurable additive manufacturing system (DRAMS) for simulation and verification of deposition strategies in digital fabrication of product prototypes. The DRAMS is aimed to improve additive manufacturing (AM) processes with the concept of system reconfiguration. It consists of adaptable support and manipulation modules for deposition of fabrication ...

Water-based Engineering & Fabrication: Large-Scale Additive Manufacturing of Biomaterials

In nature, water assembles basic molecules into complex multi-functional structures with nano-to-macro property variation. Such processes generally consume low amounts of energy, produce little to no waste, and take advantage of ambient conditions. In contrast digital manufacturing platforms are generally characterized as uni-functional, wasteful, fuel-based and often toxic. In this paper we ex...
